Checking your JAMB UTME 2011 Results Tips

The next bit of news that all candidates who sat for this year's UTME exams are waiting for is for the official announcement of the JAMB UTME results. Once the release of UTME 2011 results are announced, every candidate will be rushing to check their results and based on experience of past years, checking JAMB UTME results is often a painful experience for most candidates. Here are a few tips to reduce your pain while checking your JAMB UTME 2011, while hoping that JAMB will also help.

The first bit of information is the website for checking JAMB UTME 2011 results, just visit http://www.jamb.org.ng/Unifiedtme/Default.aspx. It is a good idea to use Firefox.

You will need your PIN, Serial No, or Reg No. to check your UTME results.

One problem JAMBITES often complain about is the slowness of the UTME result checker website. This is caused by lots of candidates all trying to check their UTME results all at the same time and JAMB not preparing adequately for the spike in demand. While we hope that JAMB will plan for the higher demand during UTME result checking period, in case they don't here is a possible solution.

Your remedy is to wait until when less people are accessing the Jamb UTME site, like very early in the mornings (when most of them are sleeping) and on Sundays (when most of them are in church and cyber cafes closed).

Another issue is the record not found or record does not exist dilemma, which simply means you have no result at least as at the time you were checking.

The remedy, is to wait for a few days and check again. However, we hope that JAMB will provide intelligent response as to why the candidate has no result and whether and when the UTME results will later be released.

UTME 2012 Result

 • JAMB has formerly declared the release of the results of the recently conluded UTME 2011 examination tonight! JAMB registrar made this declaration on AIT's 8 o clock NEWS!
Meanwhile, a lot of candidates' experience on the Jamb.org.ng site has proven otherwise! Why would the board announce results that are not yet uploaded on the JAMB portal?
 • So, despite our advice, JAMB have decided to do things their own way. Let us hope that by tomorrow most of the results would have been uploaded. Let us also hope that UTME candidates will not experience the usually slow and frustrating experience of checking UTME results.
